DSWG UAE’s 30th Year Onam Celebrations!!

The Dubai Sharjah Warrier Group (DSWG), UAE, celebrated its 30th year grand Onam celebration on 28th September 2025 at SNG Events Hall, Karama, Dubai. The event radiated festive joy, laughter, and cultural pride as members—old and new—came together in true Onam spirit.

Despite the overlap with exam season, the turnout was exceptional, reflecting the group’s enduring community bond. The celebration began with a traditional Onasadya, followed by a colorful series of cultural performances that showcased the immense talent within the DSWG family.

Highlights included a graceful Kaikottikali performance by our talented ladies, soulful group and solo songs, energetic children’s performances, and an exciting Kahoot! Quiz that added a modern twist to the festivities. The event reached its high point with a lively Garba dance set to “Kuttanadan Punjayile,” bringing everyone to their feet in celebration.

The evening concluded with every member taking home a treat box and countless cherished memories, perfectly wrapping up a day that blended tradition with joy.

A heartfelt thanks to the Executive Committee for their dedicated efforts in organizing this milestone event. Special appreciation goes to Ms. Lakshmy Raju, Ms. Indu Prasad, and Ms. Jaya Anil for leading the cultural programs, with invaluable support from Ms. Rema Ramesh, Ms. Nikhitha Anand, and many enthusiastic volunteers.

As DSWG UAE celebrates 30 remarkable years, this Onam stood as a shining reminder of our shared heritage, unity, and ever-growing bond as one big family.
