DSWG’s Diwali Dhamaka

"On Sunday, 16 November 2025, DSWG UAE celebrated Diwali for the first time since its inception—an evening filled with joy, culture, and entertainment. It was held at International Indian School, Ajman, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

As DSWG is celebrating its 30th year, the programme paid a heartfelt tribute to its rich past while embracing a fresh, vibrant spirit.

As has been the recent trend with DSWG’s programs, it started and ended on time!

The celebrations began with the traditional lamp lighting and prayer, after which the evening unfolded in two lively segments:

The first part was from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Here, the stage came alive with energetic dance performances by our talented youngsters and ladies. Several members showcased their vocal skills as well.

During the second part, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, the evening transformed into a musical soiree. Our in-house vocalists presented an unforgettable bouquet of songs—solo, duet, and group performances. While some melodies touched the heart, others brought the audience straight onto the dance floor!

This was followed by a spirited 15-minute floor dance, where members and guests spun, twirled, and swirled with pure joy.

The celebrations concluded with a delectable traditional Diwali dinner featuring Dhokla, Ghugra, Raswala Aloo, Kadhi, Chole, Puri, and more. The stars of the feast - Undhiyu and Shrikhand won everyone’s hearts!

A big thank you to all our members, especially our new members, for bringing so much energy and enthusiasm to the event, and to our guests who not only joined us but blended in as if they had always been part of the DSWG family.

We also thank the Diwali Dhamaka organising committee - Lakshmi Raju, Indu Prasad, Mini Kunhukuttan, Jothy Manoj and Jaya Anil and the music team of the second segment Ramesh TV, Deepak TV, Bharat Murali, Sanal Sankar, Ashwin Radhakrishnan, Dileep Ramachandran, Anitha Jayakrishnan, Pallavi Vineeth and Dhanashree Ashwin for all their efforts.

DSWG ( Dubai Sharjah Warriers Group) looks forward to many more such gatherings to keep the spirit of unity amongst our people and to enjoy and celebrate our culture."

Congratulations to Organizers & participants: warriers.org
