19... താം വയസ്സിൽ ജന്മഭൂമി വാരാന്ത്യപ്പതിപ്പിൽ തുടർച്ചയായി 35 അധ്യായമുള്ള നോവൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. നിരവധി വായനശാലകളിലെ കയ്യെഴുത്തു പ്രതിയിലൂടെയാണ് എഴുത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ആദ്യ ചുവടുവയ്പുകൾ

Sujatha Warrier

A native of Chelakkara in Thrissur district.

Father: Chakrapani Warrier of Perumbavoor Chellamattathu Variyam

Mother: Nalini of Venganellur Variyam, Chelakkara

She began writing stories at the age of 14. At the age of 19, she published a serialized novel comprising 35 chapters in the Janmabhoomi weekend supplement. Her initial steps into writing were through handwritten manuscripts circulated in several reading rooms and libraries.

In 2021, she won the Madhavikutty Award in a story competition conducted on a North Kerala regional basis. In 2022, she received the Mathai Manjooran Award for Excellence in Language, the Kovilan Award, the PaTT Award, the Achievement Award from the Kakanadan Centre for Literary Studies and Research, and the Kakkanadan Award for Best Poetry.

In 2023, she secured first place in the state-level story competition conducted by the Punnapra–Vayalar Society (10th edition). In the same year, she received the Kavilamma Award from Elavoor Sree Puthenkavu Devaswom, recognition at the international legislative forum level for outstanding short story writing, and in 2024, the Best Poetry Award in the competition conducted by Paper Publika in memory of Ayyappa Panicker.

In 2024, she won second place in the book review competition for “Ottamanushyar” (a short story collection) published by Thelineer Trust and edited by George Onakkur. She also achieved an Asian Record in Lucky White’s Pookkalam competition, received the National Fellowship Award from the Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi, and won first place in an international-level short story competition in 2025. She was awarded a consolation prize in the S. Rameshan Memorial Poetry Writing Competition conducted by Chottanikkara Public Library.

In 2025, she secured first place in a state-level review competition and received the Sri Shreshta Manaveeyam M. T. Vasudevan Nair Award instituted by the Nirmalyam Arts, Literature, and Cultural Forum. As part of the Kerala Legislative Assembly International Book Festival 2025, she won first place in the state-level poetry competition conducted by Thelineer Books.

She regularly contributes poems to Kala Kaumudi magazine.
