The Asan Memorial Poetry Award is being presented to poet K.V. Ramakrishnan by K.V. Mohankumar. C.G. Rajendrababu, A.V. Anoop, K.S. Ravikumar, C.K. Ravi, Shyamala Jayaprakash, and Gautham Babu are seen nearby.

Chennai: Writer K.V. Mohankumar said that the poetry of K.V. Ramakrishnan is a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. He was presenting the “Asan Memorial Poetry Award” instituted by the Asan Memorial Association.

Mohankumar added that the poet has portrayed the anxieties of modern life without rejecting tradition.

The event was presided over by C.K. Ravi, President of the Asan Memorial Association. K.S. Ravikumar, former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University, delivered the keynote address.

A.V. Anoop, President of the Malayalam Mission Tamil Nadu Chapter; C.G. Rajendrababu, former Head of the Malayalam Department at the University of Madras; Shyamala Jayaprakash, General Secretary of the Asan Memorial Association; and Gautham Babu also spoke on the occasion.
