രംഗകലാസംബന്ധിയായ മുപ്പത്തിമൂന്ന് പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മുപ്പത്തിയാറ് നാടകങ്ങളും രണ്ട് ഷോർട്ട് ഫിലിമുകളും മൂന്ന് ഡോക്യുമെന്ററികളും സംവിധാനംചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. റഷ്യയിലെ വിലികിയ് നോവ്ഗരദിൽ നടത്തിവരുന്ന ദസ്തോവ്സ്കി ഇന്റർ നാഷണൽ തിയേറ്റർ ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിൽ ഇന്ത്യയെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച് രണ്ട് വർഷം (2023, 2024) നാടകങ്ങൾ സംവിധാനംചെയ്ത് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. സംവിധാനം നിർവഹിച്ച ഡോക്യുമെന്ററികളായ 'പേപ്പർ, പേപ്പർ' (2000) മീഡിയ സ്റ്റഡി സെന്ററിന്റെ ബുദ്ധ അവാർഡിനും 'സ്വദേശാഭിമാനി' (2001) ഫിലിം ക്രിട്ടിക് അവാർഡിനും അർഹമായി.

കേരള സംഗീത നാടക അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് (2008), കനൽ പുരസ്കാരം (2009), നർത്തകി എക്സലന്റ് അവാർഡ് (2013), ഡോ. അംബേദ്കർ ഫെലോഷിപ് നാഷണൽ അവാർഡ് (2015), തിരുവള്ളുവർ അവാർഡ് (2015), നവോത്ഥാനപുരസ്കാരം (2016), ഉണരുക - കലാശ്രേഷ്ഠ പുരസ്കാരം (2019), ഗിരീഷ് കർണാഡ് നാഷണൽ അവാർഡ് (2021), തിക്കുറിശി ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ഫെലോഷിപ്പ് (2023), മഹാകവി പി. ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ നിള - വൈജ്ഞാനികപുരസ്കാരം (2023), ശ്രീ ചിത്തിര തിരുനാൾ ഗ്രന്ഥശാല പുരസ്കാരം (2024), തിലകൻ സ്മാരക സംസ്ഥാനപുരസ്കാരം (2025) എന്നിവ ലഭിച്ചു.

Dr. Raja Warrier (Thekke Variyam, Gaurishapattom, Thiruvananthapuram)

Born as the son of late K. G. Gopalakrishna Warrier of Eattumanur Kizhakke Variyam and late L. Saraswathi Varasyar of Kilimanoor Palakkavu Variyam. He pursued his education at Nilamel N.S.S. College; Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram; the School of Drama, Thrissur (University of Calicut); University of Hyderabad; School of Letters, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam; and the University of Kerala. He holds B.T.A., M.P.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in Theatre Arts. He also undertook advanced research with Senior Research Fellowship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Kerala.

He was awarded the Young Artist Scholarship (1997), Junior Fellowship (2000), and Senior Fellowship (2012) by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. He is a theatrologist, author, lecturer, teacher, columnist, and publisher. He has worked as director, actor, and presenter in theatre, film, and television, and has served as assistant director in films alongside Bharat Gopy, Venu Nagavally, and P. Sreekumar.

He has published thirty-three books related to performing arts. He has directed thirty-six plays, two short films, and three documentaries. Representing India, he directed and presented plays for two consecutive years (2023, 2024) at the Dostoevsky International Theatre Festival held in Veliky Novgorod, Russia. His documentaries Paper, Paper (2000) and Swadeshabhimani (2001) received the Buddha Award of the Media Study Centre and the Film Critics Award respectively.

His honors and awards include the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award (2008), Kanal Award (2009), Narthaki Excellent Award (2013), Dr. Ambedkar Fellowship National Award (2015), Thiruvalluvar Award (2015), Navothana Award (2016), Unaruka–Kala Shreshtha Award (2019), Girish Karnad National Award (2021), Thikkurissi Foundation Fellowship (2023), Nila–Vaijnanika Award of Mahakavi P. Foundation (2023), Sree Chithira Thirunal Library Award (2024), and the Thilakan Memorial State Award (2025).

His wife is Dr. Usha Raja Warrier, Professor of Sanskrit at the University of Kerala, and a writer and speaker.
