കീരംകുളങ്ങര വാരിയത്ത് ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്‌ണ വാരിയരുടെയും ഇടക്കുന്നിവാരിയത്ത് മാധവി വാരസ്യാരുടെയും മൂന്നാമത്തെ മകളായി തൃശ്ശൂരിൽ ജനിച്ചു. ശ്രീ കേരളവർമ്മ കോളേജിലും കേരള യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി (കാര്യവട്ടം, തിരുവനന്തപുരം) വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം, സ്റ്റാറ്റിസ്റ്റിക്സിൽ ഗവേഷണ ബിരുദം.സൈക്കോളജിയിൽ മാസ്റ്റർ ബിരുദം.

തൃശ്ശൂരിൽ താമസം.പുതുക്കാട് പ്രജ്യോതി നികേതൻ കോളേജിലെ സ്റ്റാറ്റിസ്റ്റിക്‌സ് വിഭാഗം പ്രൊഫസർ ആയിരുന്നു.

 യങ്ങ് സയന്റിസ്റ്റ് അവാർഡ്, ഏറ്റവും നല്ല അദ്ധ്യാപകർക്കുള്ള യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി, സംസ്ഥാന അവാർഡുകൾ എന്നിവ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. വിവിധ സർവ്വകലാശാലകളിൽ ഗവേഷണ മാർഗ്ഗദർശിയായിരുന്നു. അമ്പതിലേറെ ഗവേഷണ പ്രബന്ധങ്ങൾ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അന്തർദേശീയ, ദേശീയ സെമിനാറുകളിൽ പ്രബന്ധങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുകയും  പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങൾ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ആനുകാലികങ്ങളിൽ കഥയും കവിതയും എഴുതുന്നു.

 പേരില്ലാവണ്ടിയിൽ , സാഗരനിദ്ര,അമ്മയുള്ളതിനാൽ , ഈ മഴയുടെ ഒരു കാര്യം, കൈക്കുടന്നയിലെ ബുദ്ധൻ, ചന്ദ്രനിൽ നിന്നും ഭൂമിയെ വരക്കുമ്പോൾ, വസന്തം പൂക്കളാൽ വെളിപ്പെടും പോലെ എന്നീ കവിതാ സമാഹാരങ്ങളും നീലയും ചുവപ്പും നിറമുള്ള തത്ത (മാതൃഭൂമി) വയലറ്റ് (SPCS ) അനന്തരം ചാരുലത (ലിപി പുബ്ലിക്കേഷൻസ്), 4D ( ഗ്രീൻ ബുക്സ് ), പടികൾ കയറുന്ന പെൺകുട്ടി (H & C ) എന്നീ കഥാസമാഹാരങ്ങളും മഷി തൊടാത്ത കത്തുകൾ (സുജിലി പബ്ലിക്കേഷൻസ്)  എന്ന ഓർമ്മപ്പുസ്തകവും ഡോ ഇ രാമ വാരിയർ (തീർത്ഥം പബ്ലിക്കേഷൻ സ്) എന്ന ജീവചരിത്ര ഗ്രന്ഥവും പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.

Sandhya Edakunni 

Sandhya E was born in Thrissur as the third daughter of Unnikrishna Variar of Keeramkulangara Variyath and Madhavi Warasyar of Idakkunni Variyath. She pursued her studies at Sree Kerala Varma College and the University of Kerala (Karyavattom, Thiruvananthapuram), earning a doctoral degree in Statistics and a Master’s degree in Psychology. She resides in Thrissur and formerly served as Professor in the Department of Statistics at Prajyoti Niketan College, Pudukad.

She has received the Young Scientist Award as well as university-level and state awards for excellence in teaching. She has guided research scholars at various universities and has published more than fifty research papers. She has presented papers and delivered lectures at national and international seminars. She also writes short stories and poems in contemporary journals.

Her collections of poems include Perillavandiyil, Sāgaranidra, Ammayullathināl, Ee Mazhayude Oru Kāryam, Kaikkudannayile Buddhan, Chandranil Ninnum Bhūmiyē Varakkumbōl, and Vasantham Pookkalāl Velippedum Pōle. Her collections of short stories include Neelayum Chuvappum Niramulla Thatha (Mathrubhumi), Violet (SPCS), Anantharam Chāroolatha (Lipi Publications), 4D (Green Books), and Padikal Kayarunna Penkutti (H & C). She has also published a memoir titled Mashi Thodattha Kathukal (Sujili Publications) and a biographical work Dr. E. Rama Variar (Teertham Publications).

She has been the recipient of numerous honours, including the Thamarathoni Award, B.C.V. Award, Puzha. com Award, Tulunad Poetry Award, Avaneebala Award, Thakazhi Sahitya Award, Chathannoor Mohan Award, Ayyappa Poetry Study Centre Njeralakkat Rukminiamma Award, Edasseri Award, K.S. Bimal Award, Feroke Reading Circle Award, Malayattoor Prize, Chemmannam Chacko Award, Abu Dhabi Shakthi Award, Vayalar Rama Varma Poetry Award, Sahithyashree Award, Anganam Shamsudheen First Gargi Award, and the e-Malayali Short Story Award, among others.

Her husband is Dr. S. Satheesh (Visiting Faculty, Mahatma Gandhi University). Their children are Aravind (Engineer) and Prahlad (HR Consultant). Daughter-in-law: Anagha (Engineer). Grandchildren: Dhwani, Dhyan, Dhruvalathika, and Durga.
