Canada Warrier Samajam Onam 2026 Celebration
കാനഡ വാര്യർ സമാജത്തിന്റെ 2026-ലെ ഓണാഘോഷം സെപ്റ്റംബർ 13-ന് ബ്രാംപ്ടണിലെ സെഞ്ച്വറി ഗാർഡൻസ് റെക്രിയേഷണൽ സെന്ററിൽ വെച്ച് പ്രൗഢഗംഭീരമായി നടന്നു.
ഗ്രേറ്റർ ടൊറന്റോ പ്രദേശത്തെ നിരവധിയായ വാര്യർ കുടുംബങ്ങൾ പങ്കെടുത്ത ഈ ചടങ്ങ് സമാജത്തിന്റെ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ കൂട്ടായ്മകളിൽ ഒന്നായി മാറി. അംഗങ്ങളുടെ പരസ്പര സൗഹൃദ സംഭാഷണത്തോടെ ആരംഭിച്ച ചടങ്ങിൽ വനിതാ അംഗങ്ങൾ ഭദ്രദീപം കൊളുത്തുകയും തുടർന്ന് വിഭവസമൃദ്ധമായ പരമ്പരാഗത ഓണസദ്യ വാഴയിലയിൽ വിളമ്പുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ബ്രാംപ്ടൺ ഗുരുവായൂർ ക്ഷേത്രം പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോ. കരുണാകരൻ കുട്ടി മുഖ്യാതിഥിയായി പങ്കെടുത്ത ചടങ്ങിൽ പരിപാടിയുടെ പ്രധാന സ്പോൺസറായ ശ്രീകുമാർ രാജനെയും ആദരിച്ചു.
തുടർന്ന് നടന്ന വാർഷിക പൊതുയോഗത്തിൽ 2026–2028 വർഷത്തേക്കുള്ള പുതിയ ഭരണസമിതിയെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്ലാതെ ഐക്യകണ്ഠേന തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. വിഷ് വാര്യർ (പ്രസിഡന്റ്), രതി ഉണ്ണി (വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ്), ബിജു വാര്യർ (ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി), ജിതിൻ അജിത് കുമാർ (ട്രഷറർ) എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് പുതിയ കമ്മിറ്റി ചുമതലയേറ്റത്.
തുടർന്ന് കൈകൊട്ടിക്കളി, കുട്ടികളുടെയും മുതിർന്നവരുടെയും വിവിധ നൃത്തങ്ങൾ, സംഗീത പരിപാടികൾ, ഓണപ്പരീക്ഷ (Trivia) എന്നിവ അരങ്ങേറി. വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ ചായസൽക്കാരത്തിനും സമ്മാനക്കൂപ്പൺ നറുക്കെടുപ്പിനും ശേഷം എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ച് പങ്കെടുത്ത ഊർജ്ജസ്വലമായ ഗർബ നൃത്തത്തോടെയും ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെയും ദേശീയഗാനത്തോടെയും ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ വിജയികരമായി സമാപിച്ചു.

The Canada Warrier Samajam successfully hosted its Onam 2026 celebration on September 13, 2026, at the Century Gardens Recreational Centre in Brampton. Recognized as one of the largest and most memorable gatherings in the organization's history, the event brought together Warrier families from across the Greater Toronto Area to celebrate Kerala's cultural heritage and strengthen community ties.
The celebration commenced with networking and a traditional ceremonial lamp-lighting by women members of the Samajam, followed by a grand Onasadhya served on banana leaves. Dr. Karunakaran Kutty, President of the Guruvayoor Temple of Brampton, graced the event as Chief Guest, and real estate sponsor Sreekumar Rajan was also honored for his contributions.
During the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) held at the event, the executive committee for the 2026–2028 term was unanimously elected, featuring President Vish Warrier, Vice President Rathi Unni, General Secretary Biju Warrier, and Treasurer Jithin Ajith Kumar. The afternoon featured dynamic cultural performances including Kaikottikali, group dances, songs, and an interactive Onam trivia contest.
Following an evening tea break and a raffle draw with cash prizes, the event concluded with an energetic Garba social dance involving attendees of all ages, finishing with the national anthems of Canada and India.
