BARODA-ANAND Warriers celebrated their 31st Annual Day on 11th February 2024 at Club House, Nilamber Bellissimo-1, Vasna-Bhayli Road, Baroda.
The day’s proceedings started at 10.00 hours with lighting of the Bhadradeepam by Shri U Mukundan, Shri D Chandran, Shri Harimadhavan, Smt Shanta Radhakrishnan, & Smt Indira Mukundan followed by the prayer by Shri TV Harimadhavan.
A silent prayer was held to express our sorrow and paying homage to the departed souls of this Group, and also other dear and near ones of our family members.
Mr VKR Warrier welcomed the gathering and circulated the financial status and also brought out the memorable / unforgettable days of the Group Members of Baroda-Anand Warriers during 2023. He requested all members to inform such memorable days either to him or to Mr Gokuldas from time to time, so that it will be updated on regular basis.
The cultural programs performed such as, songs by Ms Aparna Sreenivasan, classical song by Ms Anita Ajith, Song by Smt Valsala Chandran, Smt Girija Ramachandran, devotional Song jointly by Mrs Jayasree & Mr VKR Warrier, semi-classical-dance by Ms Shruti Ramesh, joint dance by Mr
Ajith Radhakrishnan along with Ms Anita Ajith, “ Nadan pattu” jointly by Mrs Jayasree Vijayan, Mrs Girija Ramachandran, Mrs Asha Gokuldas & Mr VKR Warrier, filled the day and made it successful & memorable to all participants.
Mr Gokuldas recollected the initiative proposed last year to commemorate the 30th Annual Year of Baroda-Anand Warriers to undertake possible charity activities. He briefed about the two events successfully taken up in the month of Oct 2023 and Jan 2024 in the name of Baroda-Anand Warriers and expressed sincere gratitude to everyone for the overwhelming support by way of encouragement and contributions towards this noble initiative and further made an appeal to extend all support for such charitable activities. Members assured similar support for such humanitarian work on regular basis.
Shri D Chandran & Shri Vinayan from Anand / Vallabh Vidyanagar expressed their happiness about the spirit of our group.
Mr Vinayan & family and also Mrs Sajitha Ramesh & family invited all members to celebrate the marriages of their daughters to be held in the month of April 2024 & May 2024 respectively at Kerala and distributed sweets. Mrs Shanta Sreekumar also distributed sweets along with the happy news of her becoming grandmother. Mr Pravith Varier announced his achievement in completing Ph.D in Chemistry.
The sumptuous lunch was relished by all and post lunch, the Anthakshari amongst the participants were given a conspicuous pleasure to the event.
Majority of the members participated the event; however, we missed the presence of few member families as they could not remain present today due to unavoidable situation.
Before ending the programs, high tea was served.
The function concluded at 16.00 hrs with vote of thanks and National Anthem.
